Arrow 1500
The Legend began as a custom design but it soon became clear that the vertical windows and performance aspects of the design were popular, and so the Legend was incorporated into the Schionning design range. She has abundant accomodation with a layout similar to the G-Force 1800, but with subtle differences.

On the power side she has an efficient alloy mast and boom fully battened square head main, single line main reefing in the boom, roller reefing headsail and furled screecher on the prodder. A spinnaker can be added, flown off the prodder end. A simple, fast, efficient rig.
Engine power comes from two Yanmar 50 HP sail-drives with folding props set in separate engine bays with deck hatches for easy access, she has a 6KW genset to power all the equipment and air conditioning. There are large water and fuel tanks to ensure that the vessel is fully self-sufficient while away from the dock.
Current Marine in Knysna, South Africa have been hard at work on their second Arrow 1200 which has recently hit the water and is floating light on her lines.
Recently launched ‘DACHA’ impressed many with her speed and sailing ability during her delivery, and we’re sure to expect the same from this new addition.
She is floating light although loaded with 250kg of fuel and water at the time and of course she is yet to be fitted with rigging, mast and sails.
The Arrow 1200 designs are steadily becoming known for their simplicity of construction (100% flat panel kits), comfortable accommodation and exciting performance.
