Starting out as Schionning Boats, Jeff and Lorraine were among the first (if not the first) to begin thinking along the lines of a ”build kit” to make building your own multihull more achievable. This has now become a very popular idea with many boatyards, designers and kit producers popping up overnight. Schionning Designs is still the industry leader only ever using epoxy resin and lightweight cores.

Built on the back of 45 years of hands on boat building and many thousands of ocean miles, Jeff’s design portfolio is comprehensive with ranges of sailing and power catamarans for private or commercial use and for amateur or professional builders. These designs bring you the best in design, safety, performance and style and we continually update construction plans to use the best methods and materials available.
