Current Marine in Knysna, South Africa have been hard at work on their second Arrow 1200 which has recently hit the water and is floating light on her lines.​

Recently launched ‘DACHA’ impressed many with her speed and sailing ability during her delivery, and we’re sure to expect the same from this new addition. ​

She is floating light although loaded with 250kg of fuel and water at the time and of course she is yet to be fitted with rigging, mast and sails.

The Arrow 1200 designs are steadily becoming known for their simplicity of construction (100% flat panel kits), comfortable accommodation and exciting performance.

After over 5 years of hard work and dedication, Clint and Gaye Jennings have launched their beautiful and unique G-Force 1700C ‘WILDFIRE’!

She certainly lives up to her name with an eye-catching exterior paint job and a very distinctive style that differs from her G-Force sisters.​

The interior and finishes will be just as exquisite as the exterior, and we cannot wait for the finishing touches to go on.​

During the build of this boat Clint and Gaye also became close friends of Jeff and Lorraine, as well as very enthusiastic Schionning supporters and we thank them for their ongoing effort over the past years and we can’t wait to see them enjoying WILDFIRE on the water in some beautiful cruising destinations. ​

A big congratulations to home builder Greg Hettner who has recently launched his beautiful G-Force 1200 named ‘HUEY’ in Adelaide, Australia.​

With help from his son Sean, the Hettner team have done a fantastic job and the mast and rigging was recently installed with ‘HUEY’ taking her first test sail! ​

We’re sure to see more from this pocket rocket in the months to come, as Greg and Sean hope to get her out sailing as much as possible. ​

The G-Force 1200 was built using a pre-cut Duflex kit, resulting in a lightweight, strong, stiff performance catamaran that looks great and will perform beyond expectations. ​

A big congratulations to the Smith family, based in Sydney, on the launch of their Growler GROWLER 880 GTR! ​

Having been building her for the past few years in a workshop located in the suburb of Lidcombe it is fantastic to see her on the water.​

The GROWLER GTR is a 8.80 metre power catamaran design that utilizes a new Schionning Designs hull shape to achieve high end speeds and a smooth ride while keeping fuel consumption to a minimum. determination and skill. ​

Inside she is exquisitely finished with all of the modern conveniences and some very flash pieces of tech, making her a modern marvel as well as a real head turner! ​

No doubt she’ll be roaring around Sydney Harbour in the coming months and years, so keep your eyes peeled! Well done to the Smith family, they’ve done an exemplary job.

Ocean Youth Sailing have launched their beautiful Arrow 1360 in Switzerland recently, and it looks absolutely fantastic.

The OYS team are a community minded organisation that have accomplished this with the assistance of many major sponsers, including Schionning Designs International.

With much of the labour completed by a young team of volunteers who no doubt have learnt much during the construction, the boat is a testament to their determination and skill.

The vessel will now be used to teach young people about sailing and the water, along with team-building and other charitable endeavours.

She will be on display at a local boat show in the coming weeks, see the Ocean Youth Sailing website for more information and photos of the finished product!

Optiumus Yacht Builders recently launched their fantastic ZERO Emission Optimus 45 in Belgium. It looks fantastic, very sharp and light.​

The Optimus 45 is performing very well on the electric motors and lithium battery packs. The Optiumus 45 weight is up to spec.​

A total weight of +/- 5,5 tons with complete equipment and masted (Empty Watertanks).​
